Snacking on the Great Wall: Spicy Pork Paste

This snack was sampled on our camping trip on the Great Wall of China. Think of it as a spicy version of Underwood Deviled Ham, which I admit I have a weakness for in spite of it's high fat content. In the Chinese version, unsurprisingly, the fat chunks were even larger (if you look closely you can see some of them). Mmmm. We sampled it on crackers, and as usual I'm the only one that even remotely liked it.

you are a brave soul--anything with the word paste makes me a bit suspect--takes me back to the white glue days in elementry school...

Yeah, gotta get him to comment, though. :) Thanks for the feedback. Everyone keeps telling me I need to get blogging again...

I have never been here before, what is this wonderous land? I simply MUST comment and YOU simply must save me a can of spicy pork paste. (like you don't have one waiting for me in a sock drawer somewhere in Suzhou) CB
